The fantastic folks at the Chestnut School of Herbal Medicine have announced the scholarship program for their 2017 school year. In 2016, they awarded 28 scholarships totaling $39,400!
Their goals for offering scholarships for both their Online Herbal Medicine Making Course and the Online Herbal Immersion Program
“These need-based scholarships are selected based on our mission of promoting diversity and inclusivity in the field of herbal medicine. They are designed for herbal enthusiasts from underserved communities who face barriers due to our unbalanced social structure, as well as people who serve these communities—parameters such as race, class, sexual orientation, and gender identification/non-identification will be considered. We are especially seeking applicants who plan to use their education to provide further outreach in underserved areas. “
If you are interested in learning more about their scholarship program and how to apply, please visit the this link and read the entire thing carefully! They ask that you please only apply for a scholarship if you can’t afford the tuition and you represent an underserved community or work with one.
The Chestnut School of Herbalism is an online school, but they are headquartered one town over from me! I have met a few of their teachers and staff and I can wholeheartedly support and promote their courses for budding herbalists.
Their scholarship applications close on January 31. Visit this link for more details!
